Apple just unveiled its new emojis for 2025, and guess what? The face with bags under the eyes has officially entered the chat. Seems appropriate. This is not a joke - you can get it too if you complete the apple update on your phone.
If you’re a millennial or Gen X mom rocking those under-eye bags, I see you — and I may have a solution. I’ve finally found eye patches that actually work. May next year’s emoji be all of us looking well-rested!
Ok let’s get started with a few other favorites I’m loving lately:
In My Closet:
Spring sweaters from Quince are my new go-to. So
me of my friends are loyal to Naked Cashmere (and yes, it’s fabulous), but Quince is about 10x more budget-friendly and just as cozy. Flattering, soft, and the price is right.
In the Kitchen:
I’ve jumped on the viral cottage cheese bagel trend — but with a twist. I use Farmland Sister’s Skyr yogurt instead of cottage cheese (a genius tip from Kayla at The Family Food Project). All it is is 1 cup of flour (I use gluten free), 1.5 cups of cottage cheese or yogurt, 2 teaspoons of baking powder. Roll them into balls, cover with an egg wash and some garlic salt (or everything bagel seasoning) and cook at 375 for 30 mins. Bam! I’ve been making them regularly, and when I’m not in the mood to bake, I’ve been buying these (tried them first at Expo West — loved them!).
In My Amazon Cart:
A few recent finds:
• This cute, colorful fleece
• My favorite slippers (I wear them constantly and just ordered another pair)
In My Son’s Closet:
I’m stocking up on our favorite water shoes for him— because summer is almost here and nobody has time for those awful water shoes that dig into their heels and cause blisters.
In My Shopbop Sale Cart:
• These cute summer sandals under $100
• A Favorite Daughter belt I’ve been eyeing forever
• Boat shoes — because I’m fully leaning into the preppy trend
You’ll notice a mix of ShopMy and Amazon links above. I recently talked all about affiliate links on the Dose of Social podcast — can’t wait for that episode to drop! Check them out if you want to learn more about monetizing your recommendations.
A Personal Update: Studying Health Coaching at Duke
Over the past few months, I’ve been in deep study mode, working toward my health coaching certification through Duke. It’s been an incredible experience — not just because of what I’ve learned, but because of the inspiring, talented group I’m learning alongside.
