“Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face” - Mike Tyson
I was recently talking to one of my former bosses, and we remarked on how strange it feels to live in a world where the concept of working for the same company your entire career has almost disappeared. Especially here in LA, it feels like so many people are in major transitions. Friends have lost homes, schools and are using that upheaval as an opportunity to pivot. People are moving, shaking, and searching for something new.

Everyday I get asked about ways to create passive income streams online. It’s a dream many are trying to make a reality. It’s a common theme these days, and if you’re considering a change, you’re not alone.
Enter the world of portfolio careers. If you’re only working on one thing, you might be missing out. Side hustles? They’re no longer “side” – they’ve become the main event. As Business Insider puts it:
Slowing demand for full-time workers and declining wage growth could push more people into putting together a variety of gigs for themselves. Many workers are expanding their income streams beyond the corporate grind. Some are taking on freelance work or juggling multiple jobs to create their portfolio careers. Whether self-employed or employed by a company, they’re earning from multiple sources – from social media content creation to writing gigs and beyond.
People often joke about how much I have going on. I run a digital marketing company, which sometimes involves working with influencers, real estate companies, a swimsuit brand, selling sweatshirts, collaborating with Dr. Organic Mommy, co-hosting a podcast, and – oh yeah – I’m also in school! But I embrace it. Gotta keep moving – a body in motion stays in motion. Portfolio career may be the term for it but for me is just a way of life. In the spirit of that.. allow me to share some commision links:) Some of the things. I ordered this week that may or may not interest you:

Favorite Substack reads of the week:
You know I’m all about Substack and I have helped dozens of influencers make the switch to the platform. Now, more brands are jumping on the trend, moving away from traditional Klaviyo newsletters in favor of Substack. Rachel Karten’s Substack sums it up beautifully. I highly recommend giving it a read.
